Does anyone here have a grasp on Legacy WebOS' support for Unicode? Would adding the Emoji One TFF file to /usr/share/fonts be enough to add Emoji support to WebOS, or would a more in-depth patch be required?

Update: Simply using WOSQI to "Send File" to /usr/share/fonts did not add support. I used emojione-android.ttf with no luck.

I'm pretty sure someone looked into it before and found it not possible, or at least not easy.

Cool, thanks. I'll just add Twimoji or Emoji One to my web app instead.

Well that was easy enough to find: Emoji Emoticon display in Messaging App?

I was gonna blame dkirker, but wanted to be sure.
