[patch request] webos 3.x style notification dismissing on 2.x

Is it possible to create a patch for webOS 2.x (I'm running a 2.2.4 VZW Pre 3) that mimics the individually-dismissable notifications for emails, texts, facebook, etc.?

It was one of the awesome features 3.0 introduced and since our phones will never receive anymore updates, it'd be nice to see a patch bring that feature, if possible.

I'm hoping Rod can figure out from the windsornot how to get 3.0 on phones!
