my newline format in internalZ was set to windows, i tried for the hell of it to alter it to Linux and resaving the luna-platform.conf file (even tho ive never touched it myself) and retried your patch, lo and behold your patch installs perfectly now, maybe the same may work for others?

EDIT: aaaaand it works fine, love the changes so far, donation en route.

btw i take it this was the thing that also nuked my bootlogo just now?

Hi, my luna-platform.conf looked exactly like the one in the doctor, but had a different MD5 sum. After copying the doctor's file the patch installed fine! NICE WORK - THANKS! I modified it with internalz also a while ago!

Btw: the Tasks icon doesn't show up in the notification bar either.

Yes, a number of stock apps are missing that small notification icon. I have it fixed and will include it when I release the next update (probably this weekend).

Looks like you don't have AUSMT installed. That's a dependency for all newer patches. You can find it in Preware as 'AUSMT Scripts'.

I haven't figured out a way to get my ipk to check for dependencies. I'll add a not to the top post about this.

did I say WOW !! I just put this on my ATT Pre 3 and it's awesome ...did I say AWESOME !! ...I am sooo impressed with the creativity of this group and I cannot thank you enough for this... I use the phone left handed due to a physical challenge and it makes it sooo much easier ...what a great thing !!

I'm getting that same message. I assume it has to do with another patch, but I don't have a clue which one. I'm slowly removing one patch at a time to see if I can get it to install.

What does it do?
Simply put, this patch shrinks down parts of the webOS UI to make things more space-efficient. I've always thought the Pre3 was wasting too much screen real estate with seemingly "over-sized" graphics. There are a number of benefits to this including:

- Launcher: You'll now be able to see 20 icons on the screen at the same time. There are four icons per row and 5.5 per column
- Dashboard: Everything about the notification area is a little smaller. I tried to keep the text as close to regular size as possible, but had to make it 2px smaller so it would fit.
- Lockscreen: The clock is a little smaller. Everything else is unchanged.
- Quick Launcher: You can now add an additional icon for a total of six.

Known Issues:
- The Wave Launcher background gets cut off at the right side. This is purely a cosmetic issue and I'm not sure if I can do anything to fix it.
- Apps that don't use standard webOS notifications will have a little bit of their notifications cut off at the bottom. In my testing, I've found them still very usable; they just won't look that great. This affects apps like Music Player Remix and Dash Weather. There is nothing I can do about this.
- Minor graphical issues in the launcher and dashboard. This will be fixed once I start focusing on the "polish" stage of this project.

How can I get it?
1. Download and install com.choorp.ui-scale_0.1.1_all.ipk (Pre3 only)
2. Reboot your device.

When installing this ipk, it may take up to a minute to copy over all the required images. Please give it time to do it's thing. Remember, this is an alpha release. Only install this ipk if you're willing to doctor your Pre3 if the need arises! I'm not responsible if things go terribly wrong and your phone explodes.

If you're installing an update, be sure to remove the previous version first.

Works on 2.2.4 Veer, but the fonts are too small for my personal taste. So removed it again!

Yeah, I removed all of the email patches and started removing others, but I never did get it install. The only ones left are unrelated patches, but I can't be sure. I think I'd have to remove all the patches to see which one it is.
