Default [Patch Request] Unlink screen & light bar brightness

I like to keep my screen dim, (its rather bright as it is) but then the gesture area light bar becomes a bit finicky/a tad erratic.

For aesthetic's sake, is there a way to change the bar's brightness independent of the actual screen? There is a disable light bar patch, now how about the opposite.
(because i think it looks better)

(Taken from a Pre Plus thread)

thanks

You might want to have a look at the following:

File:
/etc/palm/luna.conf

I suspect you can set it with one of the following values in bold:

[CoreNavi]
EnableLightBar=true
CoreNaviBrightnessScaler=40
GestureAnimationSpeedInMs=1000
ThrobberBrightnessInLight=100
ThrobberBrightnessInDark=50

I gave that a shot.
I left ThrobberBrightnessInLight at 100, i set the Dark at 80, and did a Luna restart. There doesn't seem to be a difference.
Throbber doesnt sound like normal operation stuff..
hmmm

On another note, the disable light sensitive dimming patch doesnt seem to work.

You may need to do a full reboot to see your changes.
