Question [Patch Request] Use Skype for text (SMS) messages in the Messaging app

In the Pre 3 messaging app, Skype can currently be used to send messages to other Skype contacts and cannot be currently used to send text messages to mobile numbers. Skype does have this capability, though I'm not sure how to enable this.
This patch request is to enable this functionality so that Skype can be used to send SMS text messages.

Talking Resolved!!

I figured out how to do this, using the Pre3 default Messaging app.

The trick is to:
1. Start a new message in the Messaging app.
2. Type in the complete phone number in international format, i.e. don't select the contact from the phonebook.
3. Select the Skype icon from the IM WITH "+xxxxxxxxxx" using: section below the number.
4. Send the text as normal and Voila! The text message has been sent using Skype.
