As that version was never released as a webOS Doctor, can you attach the "LunaSysMgr" for me?

Go to webOS Quick Install -> Tools -> Receive a File -> File: /usr/bin/LunaSysMgr and put whatever folder you want the file to be saved in.

Send this to me by attaching it here or uploading it to some File sharing websites as mediafire ...

    Thanks!

I have updated the script to version 1.1.5 which includes your specific version. Can you try again with the new updated script and report back?

I'm also running an AT&T Pre 3, and I am getting the same result with v1.1.4.

I am attaching 2 screenshots of the error - one of VKB.sh -status being run, and the other with VKB.sh being run.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Try running
    Code:
    mount -o remount,ro /
Then, try executing the patch file. It seems that the patch cannot access the files at all.

I'm ignorant of what this VKB patching can accomplish, so had a question i didn't see anywhere else in the thread.

The VKB has different behavior than the hardware keyboard when using the shift and NUM keys: Press the NUM key brings up the num keyboard until a double tap of the NUM key again.

Is it possible to make the VKB behave the same way as hardware keyboard? one press of NUM key means num keyboard for 1 key.

    Yes? no?

    Thanks!

    Sorry,

    I made a typo

    Try running this
    Code:
    mount -o remount,rw /
Also, try the newest version (v1.1.5) and see if it works.

If we have the source code, I can do that in minutes. Without the source code for webOS, I would take quite a while to do such.

    Shouldn't it be mount -o remount,rw / for read/write?

    If I use Pre3, WebOS 2.2.3, so I can install luna.conf.patch with VKB-1.1.zip (Adding webOS 2.2.0/2.2.3 for Pre3)?

Hmm, it looks like your Pre might have a different version of LunaSysMgr than the ones supported in the patch, since it's checking your version but not finding it (I presume so at least, it's looking at the very first offset in the file.) Might be a case of the script needing an update.

Also @anhvu, the latest version of the script should work fine. Though how come your aren't running 2.2.4?

  20. #280
Because I'm afraid of 2.2.4 not stable as 2.2.3, beside, might be have some patches was installed not compatible with 2.2.4
