[Patch] Turnoff Phone Dialpad Tones

This patch helps you disable the audible tones that you hear customize the feedback(audible & haptic), that one recieves when using the dialpad or the physical keyboard, to dial a phone number in the Phone application.

There are/were similar patches available for prior versions of webOS. However, since the Phone application was rewritten using Enyo for Pre3, the old patches do not help.

This patch has been tested on webOS 2.2.0. Please post back your results.

It didn't work for me. Att HP Pre3. I used WOSQI to install it, but I got this error:
Who knows at the next time!!

ERROR: An error occurred while attempting to apply turnoff-phone-dialpad-tones.patch

1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.phone/shared/dialpad/Dialpad.js.rej

Do you have any other patches installed, that change/tweak the Phone application?

Would it be hard to modify this to also work on the sim and phone unlock code entry. It would make entering the pin a lot more comfortable.

I guess this patch is not compatible with the Advanced System Prefs - Phone Prefs patch. I can't seem to install it with the Advanced patch present. I would have loved to have this patch on my phone. Thanks anyway.

One of my other patches have conflicts with the Advanced patches as well. Looking at what the 'Advanced' patches change. I'll see if I can create another variant, so that they work with the Advanced patches.

Hi,
i got my girlfriend a HP Veer and she is verry annoyed by the dialpad tones, preware only list 1 patch for the dialpad that also activates vibrate at the same time but this is imo even worse
The Link on the webosinternals patches portal brought me to this thread but i think the patch attached to the first post ist 2.2.X only and the veer is running 2.1.1.
Is there a patch for my needs or how can i edit the one that is out there to deactivate vibrate?

Glad I found this . Dial tone was so annoying. works great on verizon Pre 3
