patch request-auto airplane mode

Not sure if this is possible or not, but was wondering if there could be a patch to automatically go into airplane mode when the touchpad has been sleeping for a certain amount of time or maybe tied to whatever time you have set in the screen lock options. Would be a big battery saver. I find myself going into airplane mode manually all the time to save power. Thx

There was an app for that... when the pre- first came out. I would like to have this function back again on my Veer too!
