Default [Patch] {TouchPad} Bigger Progress Bar and Color Options

NOTE: Due to changes in Patch updated in Preware you Must Re-Load Both Images Again for this to Take effect with Latest Patch Release <- READ

(AnimatedProgressBarChanged2.patch attached below for people that manually loaded the patch Not using Preware)

The old patch (BiggerProgressBarInBrowser.patch) will look for the images named 'progess-bar' & 'progress-bar-inner' (both being .PNG files; example: progress-bar.png )

The Newer Animated Patch (AnimatedBiggerProgressBarChanged2.patch) will look for the images 'progess-bar1' & 'progress-bar-inner5' (both being .GIF files; example: progress-bar1.gif )

If you are having trouble seeing your Progress Bar when a web page is loading this Patch makes the Progress Bar double the size.

I have also Added Color Options: Green, Red, Red&Blue, Black&Orange, Black&Green, and Default Blue. (Click the color to go to Post with the image)

Background Grey Progress Bar image in Post : #12

If you would like to request a color Post it here.

*If you updated or are using the newest released Animated Version You Must Load progress-bar-inner5.gif & progress-bar1.gif only*

Note you will need to load the image into the correct folder path (progress-bar-inner.png & progress-bar.png for older patch):

/usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.browser/images/chrome/

So that the image is inside the chrome folder.

Two things needed:
Load image in correct folder
Load Patch

Quick Guide on Installing Image Using WebOS Quick Install found here : Click Here

Larger and easier to see Progress Bar Patch For the TouchPad.

Default Blue Color Progress Bar attached in first post.

***Animated Color Choices Requires Newest Latest Patch Release to work***
Animated Color Choices: Animated Blue fade, Red&Green fade, Black&Green fade, Black&Red fade, Black&Orange fade, Blue&Red Flip, Orange&Red Flip, Red w/ Black line.

Do you just load the image of the color you want then apply the patch or all 3 images?

@cclarion

You just load one of the progress bar images.

Pick the color you want to have and load that one.

Do you recommend any good resources for theming/creating patches in Webos?

This is a cool idea- love this kind of stuff :-)

for patches, use http://forums.precentral.net/canuck-...f-creator.html

As for this specific patch, very nice I wonder if it could be altered to use css for the image and remove that extra step

@Jason Robitaille

Thanks.

I have tried a couple times already without altering the image but no luck. If you can figure out a way that would be great.

I would definitely like trying to skip the extra step also.

I also didn't know if this would fall under a Patch or a Theme? So I just called it a Patch.

has anyone had success with this? I get errors saying it is garbage and one that says it ends in the middle of a line. Have the image in the right folder so I don't know whats up. Thanks for the help.

@graffix31

Are you using WebOS Quick Install or are you Emailing it to yourself and then downloading it using Internalz Pro?

@graffix31

I will re-post later tonight when I get a chance to test installing the patch using Internalz Pro. I haven't tried that way yet, but will let you know if I get the same results.

Possibly try loading the Patch using WebOS Quick Install if you are able to. Let me know if that way works for you.

-I will keep you posted

Anyone else run into this?
