NOTE: Due to changes in Patch updated in Preware you Must Re-Load Both Images Again for this to Take effect with Latest Patch Release <- READ

(AnimatedProgressBarChanged2.patch attached below for people that manually loaded the patch Not using Preware)

The old patch (BiggerProgressBarInBrowser.patch) will look for the images named 'progess-bar' & 'progress-bar-inner' (both being .PNG files; example: progress-bar.png )

The Newer Animated Patch (AnimatedBiggerProgressBarChanged2.patch) will look for the images 'progess-bar1' & 'progress-bar-inner5' (both being .GIF files; example: progress-bar1.gif )

If you are having trouble seeing your Progress Bar when a web page is loading this Patch makes the Progress Bar double the size.

I have also Added Color Options: Green, Red, Red&Blue, Black&Orange, Black&Green, and Default Blue. (Click the color to go to Post with the image)

Background Grey Progress Bar image in Post : #12

If you would like to request a color Post it here.

*If you updated or are using the newest released Animated Version You Must Load progress-bar-inner5.gif & progress-bar1.gif only*

Note you will need to load the image into the correct folder path (progress-bar-inner.png & progress-bar.png for older patch):

    /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.browser/images/chrome/

So that the image is inside the chrome folder.

    Two things needed:
    Load image in correct folder
    Load Patch

    Things to note:

A Restart/Shutdown (turn completely off and on) of the device is required for the image to take effect.

The Patch doubles the size of the progress bar, without the patch the top progress bar will be smaller/thinner.

If you are using the patch in Preware, you will want load 'progess-bar1' & 'progress-bar-inner5' (both being .GIF files; example: progress-bar1.gif )

If you manually load the patch, using the Newer Animated Patch version (AnimatedBiggerProgressBarChanged2.patch), it will look for the images 'progess-bar1' & 'progress-bar-inner5' (both being .GIF files; example: progress-bar1.gif )

This patch also gives you the ability to have a animated top progress bar instead of a plain one.

Do you just load the image of the color you want then apply the patch or all 3 images?
  6.    #6
    @cclarion

You just load one of the progress bar images.

Pick the color you want to have and load that one.

Do you recommend any good resources for theming/creating patches in Webos?

    for patches, use http://forums.precentral.net/canuck-...f-creator.html

As for this specific patch, very nice I wonder if it could be altered to use css for the image and remove that extra step

    Thanks.

I have tried a couple times already without altering the image but no luck. If you can figure out a way that would be great.

I would definitely like trying to skip the extra step also.

I also didn't know if this would fall under a Patch or a Theme? So I just called it a Patch.

has anyone had success with this? I get errors saying it is garbage and one that says it ends in the middle of a line. Have the image in the right folder so I don't know whats up. Thanks for the help.

great but the grey bar behind it needs to be wider too. Can you provide PNG for that too please?

Here is the Grey Background Progress Bar corrected.

ScreenShot also attached. (Note the grey bar)

You can load a color option you want and then this one for the background bar.

Are you using WebOS Quick Install or are you Emailing it to yourself and then downloading it using Internalz Pro?

    I am using internalz.

    @graffix31

I will re-post later tonight when I get a chance to test installing the patch using Internalz Pro. I haven't tried that way yet, but will let you know if I get the same results.

Possibly try loading the Patch using WebOS Quick Install if you are able to. Let me know if that way works for you.

    -I will keep you posted

    Anyone else run into this?
