Default [Smartphone Patch][Touchpad Patch] Increase Touch Response and Smoothness Version 3

UPDATE: updated the settings to be even more aggressive.

UPDATE 2: VERSION 3.0.1

added

MaxPenMoveFreq=60
MinPenMoveFreq=60

MaxGestureChangeFreq=60
MinGestureChangeFreq=60

to luna.conf

Changed LunaAnimations to 60fps from 100fps, didnt notice a difference after reduction.

Hey guys, back with version 2 of the Touch Response and Smoothness patch.

I had to start from scratch as I changed some values and what not. There was no way I could do this as an update to the other patch properly unfortunately.

So uninstall the Preware version and try this one out.

Still in beta, it might crash Luna. Let me know if it does, and how often please.

What has been modified:

Increased touch response to 10px.

Increased Luna buffers to 16.

Cut the minimum scroll movement to 1px.

Changed the CPUShare to focus more CPU resources on displaying the UI rather than background services.

Changed the FPS of Luna from 35fps to 100fps.

Will add to Preware once we work all the bugs out.

Enjoy!

Update

People are saying they want to donate for my work on this patch.

By all means please do

Donate to rmausser

If there is a decent response of donations I will donate my time in return towards webos patch making, I can promise you that.

Please do not forget to donate to webOS internals as well!

Installed for me on both devices. I'll assess the performance over the next hour.

I am not certain, but I believe that only affects items that are rendered with hardware acceleration.

I believe the biggest improvement for scrolling was changing the minimum pixel movement from 16px to 1px.

We need a video showing the differences with and without the patch. Anybody with two touchpads wants to try this out?

plus one. Ny touchpad not only seems to be more responsive but faster too. Wonder if the cpushare tweak is the main contributor of this effect since the pitfall of multitasking is CPU cant cope with UK and background,

Default tried in Veer

I've tried in my veer, is very stable, excellent, very fast, but, but the battery drains in one day, wasted energy?
