Really would be cool, but not important really as long as I can see the mode menu text through when the temp/conditions are not displayed in the "basic view".

Thanks again for entertaining the ideas.
I can see that being easier... And it wouldn't be too difficult to set up. I'll play around with it and see what I can come up with.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a final version of SWW2.2 put together tonight.

I actually built a statusbar widget a little while ago that alerts the user if a new article on WebOS Roundup was posted by displaying an icon in the statusbar.

There is something weird with Precentral's RSS feed and I couldn't get it to work. Now that I'm getting better with all this, I could go back to that project and see what I can do though.

Holy shirt! That's a great idea!

On phone reboot, it doesn't seem to be reading the tweaks completely - I have the second line as conditions, but after reboot it shows high/lo - I have to refresh manually to get it to show correctly.

Which doesn't take away from how awesome this is.

This proof-of-concept patch didn't get much positive feedback. Most people said it was rather useless... lol.

As it is now, it only displays the two most recent article titles from WebOS Roundup. Holding your finger on the icon launches webosroundup.com in the Browser.

Fun fact: SFM was my first patch to use the animations I later used in SWW2.0.

To install, put wor-icon.png in /media/internal/.widgets/sfm/. Then install the patch and do a luna reboot.

This patch probably conflicts with everything. lol

I might have to increase the startSWW delay. Your phone isn't getting the Tweaks fast enough to use them. It'll be fixed in the next patch.

I would actually request a notification icon that tells me when new apps are available in the app catalog. I keep going back and forth many times a day just to see that there is nothing new available

    +1

I assume you are talking about a notification in the notification area at the bottom of the screen. I also assume you also meant new apps in Preware.

And how about a notification when an app update is available in Preware! Single tap to update the app. How sweet that would be...

Sweet. Just set up my own Preware feed thanks to Jason R's new tool.

I am getting the following error when trying to install the 1.5 version:

ERROR: An error occurred while attempting to install com.choorp.statusbarwidget_1.5_all.ipk

6 out of 6 hunks failed
4 out of 7 hunks failed
1 out of 1 hunk failed

    novacom: Unexpected EOF from server.

This is for the Palm Pixi+ on Verizon with the following Patches installed:

    Private Browsing
    Enable Vibration
    Uber Calendar
    Alarm Daily Options
    Enable Hidden Clock
    Enable Verizon aGPS Server
    Character Counter With Text
    Ad Blocker
    Faster Card Animations HYPER
    Call Log Styling Mod
    Dialpad tones Off
    Select Alert and Notifications
    Muffle System Logging
    Battery Icon and Percent
Farenheit Temperature with battery in device menu
    Ringer Switch Icon
    swwv20webos145Farenheit

    (Long List I know)

And trying to install directly using the Web OS Quick Install App

    Any ideas?

I tried to install the 2.2. I kept getting errors (hunk failed to.....) so I tried removing the advanced patches I had, even though I keep reading about compatibility. I thought maybe 2.2 needs to be installed first then framework, and then menu, today and mode. Well after removing the advanced patches with preware I reset my pre- 2.1 f104 excited to install sww2.2 but when the phone finished booting, I no longer have any top bar!? I pulled the battery in hopes this was just a result of only restarting luna and not a full restart but still I have no top bar. Any suggestions, I am currently away from my laptop and have only my pre- to get this fixed. Anyone have the top bar file? Or is it proprietory? Thanks

Sounds like it was conflicting with something else. You were using the latest SWW2.2 patch, right? Well, that's not important right now...

Do you have Internalz installed on your phone?

I don't remember if there was a SWW1.5 patch that works on 1.4.5... I don't think there was. Looks like you already have SWW2.0 installed on your phone..
