The 1.4.5 patch from page 10 is SWW v1.1. The newest one is SWW 1.5. I'll have to play around with that one some more I guess since it doesn't work.

Once I get this packaging issue figured out, I'll go back and make a newer patch for 1.4.5 users. The only working 1.4.5 patch is quite outdated by now and really needs to be updated.

But seriously, the patch is already top notch, with a dropdown forecast it would replace all of my other weatherapp needs. Great work.

    Thanks!

I know it's not what you're looking for, but in SWW 2.0 when you hold your finger on the icon it opens your Browser to your city's Yahoo Weather mobile website. Not as nice as a drop-down menu, but still pretty effective.

I think there was an issue with having SWW 1.5 installed but not Advanced System Menu Framework. I'll be posting SWW 2.0 tonight (hopefully lol), and I'm sure that it will work for you... That is, if you don't mind waiting a little bit.

I don't know if you are considering any of this, but I had some further thoughts regarding what should happen when taping on these widgets.

    Code:
Left End of Statusbar (Non-Device-Related Stuff)

    i.e.

    Tue Apr 19 ICON 60° (61° 52°)
    10:30 am ICON Partly Cloudy

    Time & Date Widget

    Full View Minimal
    Tue Apr 19 Apr 19
    10:30 am 10:30

Tweak Options: Date Format (Day MMM DD, Day DD MMM, etc.)
Single Tap: Drop-down menu showing agenda-view of calendar events
(Because this appears where the app menu is located, the above
will only happen when in card view. When in an app, single tapping
will bring up the app menu.)
Tap & Hold: Cycles between Minimal & Full view

    Weather Widget

    Full View Minimal
    ICON 60° (61° 52°) ICON 60°
    ICON Partly Cloudy ICON 61°

Tweak Options: Display Icon (y/n), 1st Line (options...), 2nd Line (options...)
Single Tap: Drop-down menu showing 5-day forecast
Tap & Hold: Cycles between Minimal & Full view

Ubuntite, if I am reading that correctly, which I probably am not, love it. would love an option for either 5 day or hourly though.

That is a pretty cool idea. I guess it's time I make another widget. lol

Like it! Seems to work great.

Me and Courousant hope you will consider some of my ideas in future updates, though!

    Great!!!

And I hope you will consider my ideas for SWW that make it a little more compact. I find it takes up a bit too much room. But I think it looks awesome!

Also, I had some other suggestions for Tweak Options. What are your comments:

Display Icon (y/n): This would allow the user to configure SWW for a very minimal display by turning off the display of the icon. Of course, you would have to consider changing the tapping configuration, maybe to something like I suggested.

Temp. after Icon (y/n): I would like the ability to turn this off to conserve space.

1st Line (City Name, High Low, Current Conditions, Current Temp, Current Temp + High Low):
I would like to get the temp onto the first line, to tighten up the display more, rather than have the temp right after the icon. Adding High Low without H: and L: would still keep it very compact, i.e. 9° (10° 3°)

2nd Line (Current Conditions, Forecasted Conditions, City Name, High & Low):
Right now, I think "Conditions" displays current conditions, and I have always thought it was a bit redundant, because the icon already shows this. By displaying "Forecasted conditions" on the 2nd Line and "High Low" on the 1st Line, you would be able to get a real sense about what today will be like. ("Forecasted conditions" is the conditions listed under "Today" in the 5-day forecast on the yahoo page.)

For the drop-down 5-day forecast, how about a five line menu, formatted like this:
    Code:
Tom ICON Partly Cloudy High:12° Low:3°
Fri ICON Partly Cloudy High:13° Low:4°
Sat ICON Mostly Sunny High:16° Low:8°
Sun ICON Partly Cloudy High:11° Low:7°
    Mon ICON Showers High:12° Low:6°
For the drop-down agenda calendar view in the Time & Date Widget, and to get you started with drop-down menus in general, you could steal some code from Sconix's Today Menu patch.

Eventually, I would like to see the ability to specify what the minimal view would display for both of these widgets.

    Keep up the great work!

    EDIT:

    Looks great!!!!

I have a suggestion. would it be possible to add a tweak so that the user can specify a web page or application they want to open when holding on the icon? i would like the ability to open "the weather channel" app instead of the browser.
