    Here's the patch I want to make.

    On my old dumb phone, i had an awesome feature. If I pressed the volume rocker when my alarm was going off, it snoozed my alarm. On my phone now however, when i hit the volume rocker, it just silences the alarm. Which is great...except for when i fall back asleep!

    I'd like the ability to just hit the volume rocker, and it be the same as if I pressed "sleep"

    So, I've got 2 questions. Can I access the Volume Rocker while the screen is locked (I think yes, because I can do it with the music player)? and where might I find some code that references the rocker so I can get a handle on the code that I need to write.

    Awesome sidenote...In the ring-assistant.jsjsjs $file$ $there$'$s$ $some$ $great$ $code$ $that$ $is$ $written$ $to$ $the$ $logs$...

    Code:
    onSuccess: function(response){
    	Mojo.Log.info("displayOn", "you are success.  a winner is you.");
    }			,
    onFailure: function(response){
    	Mojo.Log.info("displayOn", "we are fail");
    }
    Thanks for the help!

    WOOHOO!!

    With the volume rocker information that I got from tk102's Camera Capture with Volume Keys patch, I am now able to snooze the alarm with my volume rocker keys!!!

    I also changed my default snooze time to be 5 minutes. I'm thinking about also pulling in the changes that xanthinealkaloid made with the "more default snooze times" patch and rolling them up into this one.

    What do you guys think? worth it?

    Very much worth it -- presumably anyone with that other patch would need to remove it first. Thanks in advance for this!

    P.S. What patch name should I look for in the PreWare feeds?

    i absolutely hate having to look then try to find the snooze button. It just makes so much sense to just press the volume button on the side. Can't wait for it in preware. thanks

    Yes that is to long.

    Ok, I found out what's giving me the error. It's one of the files that is from the other patch that is failing...I'm going to try to instal just that patch and see if I get the error as well. If I do, I'll have to go make the changes again, get a new diff, and add that.

    EDIT: I found out what was really wrong...and It's an ID-10-T error. I still had an old file in there that I manually edited, so it wouldn't install it!

    I figured if I rambled off enough names, at least one would stick! lol

    Has anybody found this in Preware? I'm not against doing direct installs, but, whenever there is a choice, I prefer keeping to one install process (Preware)

    I submitted to the patch portal 2x, and both times it was rejected with different errors...on a part of the patch that was not my code...and was already approved. It installed fine for me and many others. Not sure what the problem is. Its a lot easier to debug if I can reproduce the error...so since I have been unable to do that, it'll just have to stay where it is for now. Sorry.

    note though...if you just send the file to your phone, you can open and install the .patch file using internalz!

    This is built into 2.1. Now, when my alarm clock goes off, if I press the power button, it snoozes it and also says on the screen how much time is left in the snooze duration.
