Oh, sorry about that.
I'm new to WebOS and not sure how I can help you to write Chinese IME. Korean IME only requires a simple calculation to combine characters(we call it as hangul automata) and I can get a specific Korean character code to print out however, Chinese IME requires a database to convert roman characters into proper Chinese characters AFAIK. I don't have an idea for that. Sorry! Thanks, wais |

Some info to share for Chinese IME see if you can help us to develop a Chinese IME
I have a sqlite db with each unique combination of roman letter referenced to a few chinese character. What has to do is: When a user type in a combination of roman letters (e.g. abcd), the IME call up a list of chinese characters that matches the combination from the database. Then user selects the character he/she needs. There is no Chinese IME for WebOS 2.0......yet Last edited by kiukiukiu; 02/17/2011 at 09:45 PM. |

Hi,
I installed the webOS 1.4.5 patch onto my Sprint Palm Pre. I am now able to type in hangul. However, when I try to send a text to my wife (HTC Evo), all she gets is gibberish. She can both type and read hangul via text message on her phone too. Any suggestions? Thanks |

My wife and I both have Sprint, so I don't think that it's the carrier's fault that I am unable to send/receive Korean text messages on the Palm Pre while she can do so on her HTC Evo... has anyone had success with Korean SMS messages on the Pre?
Thanks... |
