    It doesnt matter which one you do first. Did you put the images in .wallpaper? make sure it has a "." in front of the name. Not just the "wallaper" folder. If you go into USB mode, you might have to unhide the folder. Read the first post.
  7. #107
    well i just uninstalled it. dont feel like dealing with it. i use one that is in preware and i wait until tjis patch can be easily applied over preware. but thanks for the help.

    sorry to hear you didn't get it working. like the others have said, you should extract the 'images.zip' file and place all of the images into your '.wallpapers' folder. if you don't see that folder in your usb portion of your phone, you will have to un-hide the folder, instructions to do that are on my first post. once you place the images in that folder you can install the patch with webOS quick install and restart your phone. you should than have the patch working.

    OK, so, since I kind of got the ball rolling on this thing, I'll jump in again. I know little to nothing about programming (couldn't even tell you what language patches are in), but I think I've figured out what needs to be changed in said patch. It looks like only a few tweaks would need to be made; the major thing, as someone noted in the original thread, is to get the percentage text to be overlaid on the desired image.

    This line supposedly puts the percent to the right of the image...anyone know how to overlap them instead?
    $('power').innerHTML = '<img src="images/battery-' + i + '.png" />' + this.getBatteryLevelPercent(payload.percent_ui, batteryLevelColor);

    To make an image show over one, you would need to set this
    z-index: 1 or a higher number. best to set at 9999
    This needs to be set in the systemui.css file.

    Or you could do this in the .css file

    background: url(.../themebg1.png) 0 0 fixed no-repeat url(.../themebg2.png) 0 0 fixed no-repeat;

    If I remember, 2 would show over top of 1

    The problem I had was that I could not get the percent number set to center of image.
    After a number of attempts, And with help, we could not get it to work.

    Now, this was some time ago. Can't remember if it was when 1.4.5 was out or not lol

    vertical-align wasn't working out? I think it should if you use a separate div for the percentage text...

    Yeppers, if we set it top to -3 or bottom to 6 or whatever, it would never align according to the patch.
