What is the likelihood that a patch will be made enabling Media Sync mode? Some of us still use iTunes 9.0.1 and prefer it to other third-party syncing solutions.

If a patch isn't likely, is it possible to block the webOS 2 update and stay with webOS 1.4.5?

There isn't a solution right now as far as homebrew, but you can purchase wifi media sync and you should be able to sync your music.

To prevent the update, you need to have root access to the command line and enter the following commands:

    Code:
    cd /usr/bin

    mount -o remount,rw /

    chmod -x UpdateDaemon

    mount -o remount,ro /
    Then reset your phone

When you are ready to try the update, and let the phone get it re enable it with:

    Code:
    cd /usr/bin

    mount -o remount,rw /

    chmod +x UpdateDaemon

    mount -o remount,ro /
    and then reset your phone.

this is the best solution that I've found... It's on sale for 9.99 temporarily, and I can confirm that it works with the newest version of iTunes.

Just to make sure I'm following your directions correctly, does "reset your phone" mean to simply restart it?
