[Patch] remove ability to delete text messages and phone call history

remove ability to delete text messages and phone call history

To help with the monitoring of your child's conversations.

If they know how to install Preware, they can remove this patch.
I give it a name that has no reference to what this patch changes.

I ended up doing that myself to your original version. Daughter thinks its an internet speed boost patch!

Can't, no option to delete in dialog box, cannot swipe to delete either.

my daughter is going to think her phoneis broken. But it gives me peace of mind.

one problem I find is,i have 2 delete the patch everytime I want to clear the inbox when it's full,then reinstall it ti keep an eye on thing,should there be a setting or something :sick

nope, sorry but this patch stops the phone user for removing text and phone call history. If it was ez to delete them then why have this patch. I don't use this patch so maybe someone can tell you a way to do it without un-installing the patch but I know of no way to do it.
that's why the patch was made, to not be able to delete the history so easily..

Clear the inbox when it's full? I didn't know the webOS messaging app COULD fill up... I have several thousand text messages with a few of my contacts, and I've never hit a limit. And I never delete my texts.

iam glad it's not easy 2 delete txt msgs but after I have read the msgs what more can I posibly do wit the txt it's jst trash all I like is the no delete txt calls is not so helpful it shows up on the bill isn't there a way 2 have a setting in the preware patch 2 clear or leave a open time 2 be able 2 delete a msg ?

I can make you a patch that will only stop the text messaging from being deleted.

All this patch dose is remove lines of code.
The only way that i see is to remove the patch and delete your history and re-install the patch.
I made this as a request and he was nice to make a donation for my efforts and i did not ask for anything.

He asked for a patch that would help with the monitoring of his child's conversations and I stepped up for him because I have a child and know at a certain age its nice to keep check on them. I put it on preware so others could use it if they needed to monitor their child's conversations.

I can modify the patch for you to only stop the massaging form being deleted . no biggie, all i have to do is delete some line of code in the patch and post it here so you can install it with WebOSQuickInstall.

Would this work of you?
