Default Data off a bricked Pre

so, about an hour ago I decided to install the 1050MHz kernel, and I restarted Luna and it apepars my phone is bricked... assumging "bricked" means not getting past the PALM loading screen.

stupid risk on my part, but my question is; how can I get my data off my bricked Pre? most importantly text message history. (I know that can be done through Internalz, but not making it there.)

I know that I can just run the doctor; my question was if its possible to keep any data, mostly text histories.

A side tip that may or may not work but it's worth a try,

take out the battery then put back in (not turning phone back on), first plug your phone into a wall outlet charger then turn your phone on. Keeping it on the charger try to remove the kernel as soon as possible if it boots.

you can try to run webosqi and copy this file as it boots.
Some times it will let you copy as it boots up but I have only got this to work with the flashing logo showing.
hope this works for you.

I had that happen, had to force my phone into recovery mode and use the doctor and now it works.

To force recovery mode, remove the battery, plug phone into charge, holding volume up, when you get the screen icon, reinsert battery, then plus into USB and run the doctor. This will, howeever lose data and text messages.
