I have a Sprint Pre and, with all the great homebrew done with overclocking (i'm at 1ghz) and patches, I love it. And outside of having a junky Google Maps applicaiton in terms of load time, my biggest problem is the effing phone getting stuck in headset mode.

Sure, like others, it often happens after plugging in the headset (And I do, btw, close out the music or other app first before removing the headset), but I've been noticing it happening a lot lately just randomly. I only happen to notice when I go to flick a card away and no sound, or when I get a phone call and I can't hear anything on the other end. So then I blow into the mic hole and voila, no more headset mode. But this is a pain in the ***, no doubt.

So ... sorry to have taken so long to get to my question, but I'm wondering if either a patch exists that would allow me to manually switch out of headset mode, or if one can be developed; if not, what about an application?

Hmm, I can't find it through Preware ... I looked in applications and patches ...

EDIT: Do I need to download it first through the link? If so, where do I actually store it on my phone?

You should either be able to download the file from the webpage on your Pre and use Internalz to install it, or use WOSQI to install it from your computer.
