Default EPR longevity

I was having some trouble removing a patch after the OTA update, and it was suggested to try running the EPR (emergency patch recovery). It's been going a good 15 minutes now. Is this normal?

How many patches did you have installed? What is the screen on, ie what does it read under the spinning disc?

I HAD 28 patches installed. I systematically removed them all, except the advanced launcher configuration patch (the problem child). Only then , did i initiate the EPR. Currently, and for quite some time, the screen has read:

Downloading/Installing
Removing original file...

I'm stuck at the same spot. Been there abot an hour.

I have 60+ patches.

I couldn't get the cpu to run faster after the update last night.

attempts to install stock kernel or any other kernel all fail. Should I just doctor?

unfortunately I was on wifi so I had 3G turned off, now it's not on my devicw menu so I can't turn it on. I'm trapped at a wifi hotspot until I can fix this.

suggestions?

Shouldn't take that long if you only have 1 patch installed.
Not to sure, can you force close it, luna restart and then re-run it?

How long has it been stuck on that screen?

As for the recovery kernel, what version are you trying to install, make sure it is the 1.4.5 version. Check your preware feeds if you ever had the testing feeds.

Well in a fit of (check all that apply)
__Stupidity
__Bravery
__Desperation
__Luck

I swiped away the card and restarted, Phone's back up and running, and the problem child is gone. Yay.
Individual results may vary..

Sometimes ~ unfortunately that does happen. It's not normal When it does that for more than say 2mins, remove and replace battery. When it comes back on all patches should be successfully removed.

cheers.~
