This has been bugging me...I searched through the forums and could not find a solution to this.

I would like to be able to press the Voicemail icon once (shown above) on the dial pad and be able to auto-dial my voicemail number AND my PIN number.

Would someone please make a patch to enable the editing of the default voicemail number when the icon above is pressed?

With all the great patches already developed, I can't believe no one has done this already.

Based on the complaints in other threads, whomever develops this patch would be a Pre-hero! Thanks.

My current work around is to edit the VZW Voicemail contact, link it to my "self" contact and have in on my supercontacts+ bar, not very elegant

I would like to change the number dialed by that button to my Gmail number... or use it to dial my wife(my 1YO knows how to hit that button on demand so I could get him to dial mommy if he NEEDS to)

So, i think I know why there is no patch for this. For Sprint users we can set our v-mail to auto sign in when v-mail is called from the phone. There is no need to type in a Pin#. Another reason is because you can set speed dials. I believe you can have any number, but 1, be set.

I believe there is a patch or it might be native, that you can set a number to speed dial then have the phone pause and dial the rest of the numbers. Don't know if that will work though.

Supposedly this isn't possible because the API needed it isn't available. However, someone sent this method to me in a PM. I haven't had the time (or guts) to try it, so please don't try this unless you know what you are doing... YMMV.

    "" Reprogram Vmail
    * Enter Your MSL Code in the Dialer. (Ex. ##******#)
    * Wait and it will verify the code and pop up a Service Programming Screen.
    * Note and Write Down what is the first and second field.
    * The Mobile Directory Number = MDN
    * Mobile Station ID Number = MSID **** MUST NOTE THIS ***
    * Select Edit at the bottom Right.
    * In the TOP Field (Mobile Directory Number), Type the VM Number
you want the Phone to Dial !!!
    * In the Buttom Field (Mobile Station ID Number), Put in the number that
was there before. *** The Number you copied down that was in this
field prior to hitting the edit button.
    * Hit SAVE - Let Phone come back online.
    * Now When hitting the VM button it will dial the number you put in.

Works flawlessly, I use YouMail as well.

Sprint let's you "save" your password so you don't have to enter it each time you call. Essentially the same thing you are after.

    A few questions...
    1. Where do I find my MSL Code?
    2. Can I enter pauses in the Mobile Directory Number field?
    3. Do I start with *86 in the Mobile Directory Number field?

    Thanks.

^^ If you're on Verizon, I would use your number and not *86, *86 costs you minutes while dialing your number if considered free mobile to mobile, even though they both bring you to the same place. I am hoping I can enter a Time pause, that is what I used in the past, mynumberTpassword.

what is the MSL code for the dialer to do this?

I've been looking for this solution for a year! YOU ARE THE MAN!

I made the change in 15 seconds and now I can use my voice mail buttons on the phone again and kill the launcher I have been using. Now Google Voice and my Sprint VM all end up in the same YouMail box that I can access via my phone or YouView app.

    Thanks so much,
    Mark
