The only way to change the user agent that I've seen is on this post:

    http://forums.precentral.net/webos-p...perfectly.html

I was able to edit the patch to change my user agent to show my phone as Linux/Chrome. It definitely fixed the Facebook mobile issues. That patch requires a reboot of your phone, so I don't know how you could put it in the browser menu.

If anyone cares to do it, I changed the user agent to the following:
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.2 (KHTML, Geck) Chrome/4.0 Safari/532.2

The user agent needs to be the same length as the original user agent. The original is programed like this:
    Mozilla/5.0 (webOS/%s; U; %s) AppleWebKit/532.2 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/1.0 Safari/532.2 %s

So, after a bit of playing around, changing your User Agent also affects the Google Maps app. Pinch zoom disappears.

Next I am going to replace the User Agent with an Android UA to see how that affects the map app.
