i installed preware and customized my pre with a bunch of patches and apps about 2 wks ago. after that, i noticed that when the phone "wakes up" from sleep mode there's about a 1-2 minute lag. this is especially frustrating when i get incoming calls b/c they become missed even though i choose to answer them. can someone tell me which app/patch this could be due to or fix the prob? i would hate to remove all the patches and start all over again one patch at a time and rebooting each time. thanks in advance.

You could uninstall patch by patch and find the culprit. Thats the only idea I can think of. Other than using WebOS Doctor.

If I helped you or you have downloaded one of my files,
then least you could do is click the "Thanks" button.

Or list the patch/apps you have and also what services and apps are open when you experience this lag.
Do you have bad service signal where you are, I have seen a post where the fault of a e-r second lag is because of bad cell service.

well i don't think it's the service. i live in sf and am visiting my parents in san antonio and have the same problem both places. once the lag catches up then things are fine but the lag is just killer.

    here are my patches:
    100 more autoreplace words
    5x5 icon v1
    ad blocker
    add date mm/dd/yy
    brightness in device menu
    call duration in call log
    capture with all keys
    command line
    enable landscape pdf viewer
    flashlight in device menu
    glass effect
    hide nascar app
hide quick launch bar in launcher only
    improved photo naming pre
launch brightness unlinked on luna boot
launch camera when unlocked in landscape
    match state to area code
    named pages in launcher
    open to alarm list
rotated battery icon & percentage color
    show app detail
    show download count
    simple shutter sound off
    ubercalendar
    unhide dev mode icon
    unthrottle download manager
    video camera flashlight
    virtual keyboard

    my only background apps are:
    brightness unlinked
    clock sync

all other apps are push to turn on.

it would really suck to take off each patch and reboot to see which patch is the culprit. if someone knows the answer i would greatly appreciate it.

    Try virtual keyboard first.

I'm no expert so maybe somebody will be able to shine more light on this.
but the only one that jumps out at me is launch camera when unlocked in landscape mode, so try removing this and see if its better.
However there are other reasons to why this might be happening, patching may not be the cause. I would keep playing around but be prepared to doctor if it does stay the same.
And as a little tip, you might want to uninstall named pages and hide quick launch and install advanced configuration for app laucher.

Are you leaving brightness unlinked running all the time or just when you need it?

i have similar patches as you have and i'm thinking the same as pip smith. i removed launch camera when unlocked in landscape mode and i'm pretty sure my pre is less laggy. plus i got ****ed at the app after a day or two... kept launching the camera when i was using my pre lying down and stuff.

I have 50 patches and am not experiencing the lag problems you have. I have all of yours except:
    5x5 icon v1 (I have 5x4 v2)
    100 more autoreplace words
capture with all keys (I use capture with volume keys)
    call duration in call log
    glass effect
launch brightness unlinked on luna boot
launch camera when unlocked in landscape
    open to alarm list
rotated battery icon & percentage color
    ubercalendar
    virtual keyboard

Hopefully this will help cut down your troubleshooting time.
