does anyone know a simple effective to change the font color for sent messages. im using a theme that has dark chat bubbles & its hard to see. really all i need to know is how to change the font to white, but being able to change the font to any color would be nice to know for future themes

    Go to:
    usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/stylesheets/messaging.css

    Add:
    color:#(insert hex code)

Values you are looking for are:
    .chat-entry
    .message.status-success

Hopefully these make sense. Review that .css file to look up any visual aspects you want to change.

You cannot edit the files with Internalz. If you plan on submitting this theme to PreCentral.net, you will have to include a patch with this theme. If it's for private use, then just edit the file manually with WinSCP, WebOS Quick Install, or terminal.

Reason I know this is because I've had to manipulate the whole UI for my own personal theme. It delves deeper than any other theme that I know of. Sadly, I had to drop the project.

    yes
    receive file
    /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/stylesheets/messaging.css

    send file
    /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/stylesheets/
do not put messaging.css at the end of the one you send back^

This is not for a theme you will upload to a theme site, right personal use

make a copy of your .css file before you modify it.
save the copy to a new file on your computer k.

how do you actually tell the phone which color you want? Like I would like the receiving messages to appear in white font and the ones I send to show black font, where would I input that command?

I guess my question is, what is the value for the font color for their-chat?

QUESTION: I'ved edited the file in Notepad++. Does it matter what name I give this file? I've named it MESSAGING. And then I send it to: /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/stylesheets/ ... right? Is this correct?

It matters. You have to replace the existing file with the same name or the OS won't find it. The name is case sensitive. thorne

OK, but you can't save a file in Notepad that has "/" in the string. So, how to handle that? Maybe I'm missing something here...

There shouldn't be a need to save a file with a / in the name. It should be saved as "messaging.css".

That's correct. However, the instructions above indicate to Send the file WITHOUT the messaging.css. Again - maybe I'm missing the obvious here ...

    Thanks,

I'm not too familiar with WOSQI Sending/Receiving files. I'm away from my PC so I can't check to see how it works right now.

But, the messaging.css has to be sent to:
    /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/stylesheets/

Sorry I can't be of more help right now
