This looks like a very useful patch! I'll wait till it shows up in preware.
Would it also be possible to create a new date picker as part of the patch. One that typically shows a month view, so you know what day of the week you pick. The current datepicker is really inefficient to use. |

I have it submitted some days ago, and the Birthday patch just 2 days ago. The UberCalendar patch might be tricky, because of the 2 images files which are needed. But you should ask the webosinternals team about an estimation.

Hi,
I just tried to uninstall the "old" patch (only "event subject in week view") via WebOSQuickInstall . The patch is not listed anymore (neither in WebOSQuickInstall nor in Preware). But the patch is still active... What do I have to do before installing the newest version?? Thanks for your help. Regards JRPalm |

See answer in German forum "Nexave". You might need to copy the original files to the correct places.

I second this. I appreciate all the work you put into this MetaView, and these features look really great, but not all of them suit the way I want to use my Calendar. One of the things I really love about the Pre is how you can customize the user interface with such precision through patches. Multi-feature patches like this one are great for adding a lot of functionality at once, but they also take away some of that precision of customization.

I loaded this patch, installed fine via WOSQI. does not show anything for on the icon for agenda (blank grey box), does launch the program. Some of my dates in month view showed up as blacked out, multiple all day events? overall good but made the calendar program horrendously slow.
Removed.

The icons need to be installed separately, they can't be part of a patch file. It's described in the first post. Multiple all-day events in the month view goes gray, if they come from different accounts, they are gray.
About the speed of the calendar, for me it's not slower than without patch, but rendering the subjects take some time. You don't have to wait for them. About splitting the patch: it's too much work to keep them all updated then. If you need only some special parts, apply them manually.

Sounds like the installation didn't work. Have you any log file?

My two favorite Datebk features are (1) Assigning icons to event like Doctor, Driving and Flying and seeing them in the month view (2) Being able to duplicate an event and save it to a new date. If this patch can handle either of these features then I could retire Datebk.

Ya know...I was finally getting around to test driving this patch…Unfortunately, I found it conflicts with that patch because of a try…catch statement which was added to the edit-assistant. Anyhow, it's a very good patch! .
