GPS on in Maps/GPS on in Sprint Navigation

These patches will turn on GPS, when entering Maps/Sprint Navigation application, and turn it off when exiting to save battery. If GPS was on prior to entering Maps/Sprint Navigation, the patch will not turn it off on exit.

Please use at your own risk.

I installed this on my Sprint 1.4.1.1 Pre and it worked as advertised, automatically turning on GPS on launch of Google Maps and then turning it off again on closing the app. However, since installing it I have found both Google Maps and Sprint Navigation sometimes having a hard time getting a lock when GPS is already enabled, and the condition can only be cured with a full restart. I uninstalled the patch and the problem persists. I can't be sure that this is the fault of the patch, but I just thought I would give people a heads-up and ask whether anybody else has observed this.

I'm using a Verizon Pre 1.4.1.1, with the aGPS patch and QPST. With this patch installed, starting Google Maps does start GPS if it was off and then turn it off as it should when Google Maps is closed - however if GPS is already on, if I open Google Maps and then close it, it turns off GPS.

Unfortunately, with the updated patch installed on my Sprint Pre, the patch still shuts GPS off when Maps is closed even if GPS was turned on before opening Maps.

I have the "GPS in Device Menu" and the Google Maps "Start in Fullscreen" patched installed. Could there be a conflict with one of them?

I just tried it again and it works for me,
make sure you uninstalled the old one first or it could be conflicting,
maybe some other users will report
so, sorry, no solution for now

Definitely uninstalled the old one before installing the new one. So I guess it's either a conflict with one of the other patches or this patch just doesn't work well with CDMA (or just Sprint) Pres. Anyone else on Sprint/VZW want to give the updated patch a spin and report back?
