Looking for a way for the user to change a label on the fly. I am not that proficient yet but if someone wants a label that is not there I can add it or change one out easily.

I'm actually make a patch like this because my work uses a 10 digit bridge followed by a pass code usually

If you open the patch and go to the plus signs you can change anyone of those to your liking.

This patch works fine for labels in the Contacts app, but if you look up the same number in Universal Search the label may not be there, e.g. the label "Mobile2" will come up as blank in the Universal Search results. Also in 3rd party apps, such as Easy Dial List, a "Mobile2" label comes up as "No Phone Numbers."
Quite unusual.

I noticed that today thought it was a fluke I will look at it later. I have already updated to include google voice will see where I need to add the label for universal search.

Thanks for the additional contact choices. When I installed it, my Pre slowed down to a dead crawl (I assume it was repopulating all of my existing contacts with the new phone listing). I was concerned that I would have to remove the patch to return my Pre to its previous blazing speed, but after a restart, all is well.

I use editpadlite to make text changes. notepad would work as well. I don't think a full blown word processor would do to extra formatting etc.. I think.
