[Patch Request] Different Volume Settings for Messaging

I work at a hotel front desk where I do not want my phone to ring at all. However, I don't mind an occasional beep if I get a text message or an email. I wish that Palm would offer separate volume settings for the ringer and messaging, but that doesn't seem to be in the plans. Now that I think of it, they could just use two slider controls and have a checkbox for auto-adjusting one volume with the other.

I'd like to see a patch that would offer a second volume for all messaging (SMS, MMS, Chat, Email).
