[REQUEST] Enter Key for new line in Messaging

Any chance for an updated patch to enable "Enter Key for New Line - Enter adds a line instead of sending the message." It worked prior to WebOS 1.4

Stinks sending an incorrect message when you hit Enter instead of Backspace.

This is also my favourite patch. I hate sending half completed messages when my thumb slips onto the Enter key!

Unfortunately I got an error message too. tried downloading it from my phone. I'm a newb and only use Preware and WebOS Quickinstall. Sorry.

I definitely don't have the old version of the patch installed as I am setting up a new Pre (the keyboard on my last one was toast), and the old patch no longer is listed in Preware.

I had the AUPT dummy package installed still, but tried it again after uninstalling it and get the same error.

I've also tried the same (both updating from the dummy patch and then a fresh install) using the patch just uploaded to Preware and got the same ("1 out of 6 hunks failed") message in Preware; I'm assuming this is the same version of the patch?

The Messaging patches I have installed are:

Add Select All and New Message
Character Counter
Force Send Offline
Jump One Word at a Time
Personal Avatar Left Side

if you look in your /media/internals/ folder you will see a file called webos-patches.log if you send me that I can see exactly where it is failing. Mines installed with no problem.

Try uninstalling your select all and new patch and see if that fixes your error.

Works Great! Thanks mamouton! Installed perfectly using wosqi, with the following (messaging) patches installed:

character counter
compose to email
enable landscape
iphone style
new card per convo
timestamps fancy

Good Work!

Yep, still doesn't work after uninstalling Select All and New Message Shortcuts and then rebooting and trying to install again.
