Originally requested here.

Since the missed call notification is actually 2 buttons, the icon taking you to the missed call list and the area with the call details which performs a callback.

Under no circumstances, do I want to accidentally call back a missed call.

So here's a patch I've submitted to Preware that makes tapping the whole notification act the same as the the icon...It will go to the missed call list and clear the notification.

Preware Description: Tapping the missed call notification will open the missed call list rather than calling the number.

***I decided to add another version to this thread...It reverses the function of the icon and the text area.***

Patch creation is something I do in my spare time for myself and the Precentral community.
If you find value in my work, please take a moment to click the thanks button.
Should you be inclined, a donation link is available in my signature, and a sincere thanks to those who have.

I'm glad you appreciate the effort.

I'll put it on my list, but I'm fairly new at this.

I installed this patch and everytime I would end a call it would lose all the icons on the dialer and I would have to close a empty phone app. I couldn't do any calling at all or dial any numbers.

Are you talking about this patch or my earlier version of the updated "Open the Call Log" patch?

I only ask because my first update to the call log patch did something like that.

I didn't know it was an update so that must be it. The one I installed had test in the title name.

Yup...That one can be found here: [Patch] Default to call log.

It should be working 100% now, so it would be great you you'd like to try it.

If anyone is interested, I had added a copy of this patch to the OP this morning which simply reverses the action of the icon & message area, but I forgot to add a post when I did it.

Icon = callback & Message area = missed call list

Hi Josh,

I wonder if you would consider a patch that requires confirmation of a dial from the call log. I find that when viewing the call log, I make calls accidentally.

THis patch seems to have a bug. It works as far as the title of the patch is concerned, but clicking on the notification does not do anything, ie. it does not go to the missed call list and or clear the notification.
