Patch Meister: dBsooner
at: 03:52 PM 01/14/2010
To Everyone who has an error installing the Send All Contacts via Email patch: The developer has pointed out there was an issue for 1.3.5 and he has submitted a new patch to me via the portal. Since I don't like making habits of just one patch per version number increase, I won't get this in until tonight. I want to get a couple more in the buffer to accept all at once for one version #. Look for a fix tonight.

Thanks for posting the response, I'll look forward to trying out that tomorrow. If anyone gets it to work please let us know. I'm hoping this will allow me to sync my contacts with google contacts so I would be able to access my contact list from any computer.

Just tried it and I still get an error and it won't install via preware. It doesn't appear that the patch has been updated. Anyone have any luck?

It didn't get updated yet. I got sidetracked programming more stuff for the portal. Tonight for sure.

There was an issue with the autobuilder. Everything was being built, but not copied over.

Please forgive, in advance, an ignorance on my part. I am relatively new to Pre ownership and have not attempted much advanced customization.

I, too, did not uninstall my patches prior to installing the latest update. I meant to, but accidentally hit the button when charging. I have since run the WebOS Repair Utility and have the following log to show for it:

==================

The patches still appeared to be installed according to Preware, so I attempted to uninstall them using WebOS Quick Install. Preware then did not show them as installed, but when I attempted to re-install them, it could not complete the installation and the IPKG log gave me an error message that the patch was already installed. When I tried to re-launch Preware most recently to obtain a verbatim account of the error message, it froze up on loading, repeatedly, despite multiple re-boots.

I then attempted to uninstall Preware, following the directions at Application:Preware - WebOS Internals. However, the directions did not exactly match what I saw in WebOS Quick Install. I was given the option to remove the application for Package Management Service, but not to remove the Preware application. I uninstalled the Package Management Service.

Now, Preware still appears in my launcher and when I attempt to open it, I receive an error message that reads:

==================
The Package Manager Service is not running. Did you remember to install it? If you did, first try restarting Preware, then try rebooting your phone and not launching Preware until you have a stable network connection available.
==================

Any assistance provided on these issues would be most greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi,

Resume Play for Books - supports "Books" and "Books and Spoken" genres

I was wondering where I can read details on exactly what this feature does? I can't find any more info in the forums or guides.

What ap uses this? I'm assuming music player? What I don't understand is that any mp3 with the category books had an autoresume already so what does this patch do in addition to that feature?

Well forgive me in advance, but I actually tried to search before posting this......

Ive had a cpl different pre's now and this one, I have forgotten to allow it to update to 1.3.5.1 before adding my tweaks, themes, etc.

I have about 45 different things installed ( theaks, mods, etc. )

the question is -

is there any way to back up everything at once, as in tweaks, apps, mods, etc?

So I dont have to reinstall everything peice by peice, it took me all day yesterday to get this new one set up like to first.... dont want to have to do all of it manually.

Thanks in advance!
