I'll take a look at the link when I get home from work. My firewall blocks the site as being Catagorized as CHAT

Do you have any other App Launcher patches installed? Better yet, do you have a THEME installed?

my webOS upgraded to 1.3.5.1
I previously loaded patch bypass PIN lock....which worked great
NOW, however, it stopped working (now I have to enter the PIN almost every time I turn the PRE on again ....like before...hate that!)

so in PreWare I tried to update...but it says to remove patch first
in doing so.....I get stopped.....Error....IPKG Log "Failed: ErrorGenericMethodException"......and 'Confirm: User consetn requested for pre-removal".

help! how can I get the Patch to work AGAIN!
There must be a way with PRE connected by USB (?) I hope.

hey guys, idk if anyone would be interested in this but its a list of 1.3.5 patches where u can check which u have and save.
Hopefully itll make noting which patches you had before an update easier

I cant install any patches from Preware. I need an update to confirm delete for 1.5.1 and cant find where to download it from the net. Any help?

thanks to all. I found that I was finally able to remove all of the old patches using QuickInstall, and that PreWare wasn't able to remove. QuickInstall, then...with a little effort installed my ByPass PIN Lock patch, and some others. All is well. great forum and thanks for the help.

The patch Im having an issue with right now is email confirm-delete. I tried to update it through preware, and I had to uninstall it. Then, I tried to install from preware, and it said I needed two other patches updated. I allowed it to do so, then failed saying I already had it. I cant install the new 1.3.5.1 or 1.3.5.0 from quickinstall (I found the list and am bookmarking it!). Any help? Please?

You can try emergency patch remover, but mostlikely you will have to dr. it.

I noticed some problems with patches on my German GSM Pre (now at 1.3.5.2):

Enable LED notifications
This patch breaks the Screen & Lock app. Parts of it are missing when you open it so you can not change your brightness anymore. This was actually a problem with the previous GSM webOS version (Already forgot the number, lol) as well. The patch can be deinstalled, then the problems go away.
(Might be a conflict with the Reduce Minimum Brightness patch as I always use that one... Haven't checked that, yet.)

Device Menu Remix with Flashlight
This patch breaks the device menu. No brightness, GPS or flashlight options appear and the Flugzeugmodus (plane mode) doesn't go away. When I tap outside the menu, it doesn't close like it should normally do. Only a swipe up from gesture area closes it. I suspect that the same problem appears with most or all other device menu patches but I have not tried them, yet. I think I remember there being a problem with a similar patch on the previous webOS version as well but I am not sure.

heh, I tried above, ie removed both GNU Patch and Diffstat. And then I could not reinstall them due to IPKG Error. Error I get is:

Install
An error occurred return value: 4
Cannot find package org.webosinternals.patch
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'
Collected errors:
Failed
ErrorGenericMethodException:Failure during 'install' operation

ok, found in another thread that simply selecting 'Update Feed' will solve my problems and it did! thanks folks. Have reinstalled those 2 patches. Now to try the others...

Launcher Page Selection Tabs also gives me an error and will not let me install it. I have uninstalled ever launcher related patch, and restarted the phone and tried again, and it still wont install. I do however have 5 launcher pages, which i don't want to get rid of, i like them all. They're like children to me. I'd fight a bear with my hands to defend them.

i'm getting the same error via preware trying to install the send all contacts via email patch. Wanted to make sure it is the patch and not something i'm doing wrong.
