    Hi!
I tried installing a few patches using preware for my Palm Pre with 1.3.1 softwareupdate (it was released yesterday here in germany)

some of the patches work like a charm (soft-keyboard, char-count in messages...)

But I still have problems with - for example the patch for changing the SMS sounds (or the LED notification setting)

It seems that german phones use other menues and the patch can't write in that file (it does install without error-messages though)

    can somebody help me please?

    thanks,

    Angeldust

The GUI definitions are in language seperated files. The patches would need to address all of them. Quite difficult for the developers. Best solution is to apply the patch for the English html files to the German html files on your own. You might then create a diff and send to the patch developer for inclusion in the official patch.

The GSM WebOS doctor contains many languages, German included.

    Palm – Herunterladen - webOS Doctor - O2 (Deutschland)

    click on "Herunterladen"
    next page:
    click on "Weiter"

the emulator seems to contain those as well, but i have to agree, the most official way would probably be the gsm webdoctor...

I also made a thread about this, I just avoided specifically mentioning germany cause i'm sure it's the same in all languages that have not been in the previous 1.3.1
