Default [Patch] No Alert During Call

Here is the updated and working version of the No Alert During Call patch for WebOS 1.3.1, originally created by Ikyo. This will set the ringtone volume to zero during a call so that you do not get a notification sound.

working on maybe adding in a short vibrate..

I am installing now.

Edit: I installed patch via quick install and still got the tone. I am now rebooting and will give it another try.

Edit: After reboot, still hear tones.

I'll try it again.... do you have linux access to do some error reporting?

your right... dang it. It changed the volume but that didn't help....

EDIT: will have to think on this then...

I do have linux access. Also I notice with the SMS patch when it is charging you only get a vibrate no tone.

Edit: I had the system volume turned down hence no tone. I wonder if this patch did that but forgot to turn the volume back up?

I just noticed that when the volume is turned down and I am not on a call I only get a vibration, but if I am on a call and the ringtone is turned down I get the tone. I tried turning system down as well but still get the tone. Weird!

can the person your speaking with hear the tone? It resets the volume when the call is done so nothing else should change.... I could try and have it lower both volumes...

have this patch and lower the system volume and test... if you could, my only other phone is prepaid and it can get expensive to test, and the emulator doesn't do well for this testing.

I will test right now.

Edit: No the person on the other end can't hear but I can hear it pretty loud from speaker.

Is there any way to mute the sounds while on phone call?

so none of the volumes affect how loud the sound is while on a call?..... back to the drawing board...
I'm trying to find a way to disable messaging sounds while on call... but I can't figure out how to change the preferences in the messaging app from the phone app....

Yes when the vibrate switch is in vibrate mode then you don't get a tone at all.

Is there any way to make it appear in vibrate mode only when on a call and when you hang up it switches the sounds back on?

Yes the patch is there but it isn't working properly we are trying to figure out what is wrong with it. The patch is supposed to silence the tones when on a call but it isn't doing that yet.

I will test it for you. You can see it turning the volume down but not back up in the previous patch. This the error I get when trying to download the post.

well, turning the volumes down doesn't seem to matter now... didn't matter which volume does it? maybe I missed the fact that the old patch just didn't turn the volume down and assumed it was because of some switch to rintone sounds...
without the patch and manually turning down the system volume, do you heat notifications while in a call?

I will try that and see, I already uninstalled the patch thinking I was going to test the one you had posted. Let me check.

Yes I hear notifications with both volumes down and no patch installed. The only way I don't hear sounds is when the silence swith is set to silence.
