I wanted to give props to the dev of the smart reflex and scaling patches. I was a little hesitant on applying this patch, but now that I have patched my pre, it is very noticeably faster than the stock pre is set to. I recommend everyone that hasent applied this patch yet to do so for sure!!!

Hey all,
I installed the 550Mhz SmartReflex patch and it does not seem to work. When I do a: cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_setspeed/cpuinfo_cur_freq it still shows 500Mhz. Now when I do the: echo 550000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_setspeed and then check again, the cpu freq is at 550Mhz. The patch seems to have installed ok, it created a file under /etc/event.d with the contents of the patch, but it seems it never gets executed. Can someone here help? |

These patches are pretty old (and were experimental, I believe).
Best bet is to remove them and install Uberkernel - you can overclock to 550, 600, 720, or 800 MHz
