It sounds like Doctor 1.3.1 does not delete data (pics, ringtones, audio, video) - it has been confirmed. This is great news! Search for the thread in Pre forum.

Just thought I'd let you know that I am now a Linux expert lol...downloaded and installed all the SDK stuff and then opened a command prompt and figured out how to get into the directory and delete the .html file and installed the patch again with webosqi and wahh lahh it's all good again, now I just have to reinstall the rest of my patches lol...thank you again, you are always so very helpful

Here's a question I haven't heard before....my website text messages me when I have a new signup, I have my site set up as a contact, before it would work cause site sms came in as 7398 so I could add the number, but now it comes in with the email address and the sms sound does not register, it just uses the default one...if there a way to get email address only contacts to have a specific sms tone?

oh... yeah. that would be the msgtones.html file that for some reason is not removed when the patch is uninstalled... you can try using wosqi to delete:
/usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.contacts/app/views/edit/msgtones.html

What I do once I locate the "msgtones.html" file in the "/usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.contacts/app/views/edit/msgtones.html"?

delete it... and restart. The rest of your files should already be back to originals. at least that is what I think is going on since you said you already uninstalled it and other have had that file still there after uninstalling...

When I try to delete it, this is the msg im getting:

"Error deleting file 'msgtones.html'
General failure (server should provide error description).
Error code: 4
Error message from server: Failure
Request code: 13"

I tried installing with the latest Preware and with Quick Install 2.9 and both fail with these errors:

Hunk #3 FAILED at 173
Hunk #7 FAILED at 304
Hunk #8 FAILED at 311

Any ideas? I had "Select Alert and Notification Tones" installed, but removed and restarted prior to installing this one.
