I've found this helps quite a bit as it allows me to pull up quick contacts (my primary way to dial), luna manager (for a quick luna restart as opposed to rebooting which takes forever), or bringing up the terminal (for troubleshooting) in the case of a low memory / throw cards away situation.

Edit /etc/palm/luna.conf

There is a parameter called AppsToAllowInLowMemory. By default it allwos the phone, contacts, and messaging apps. I've modified mine to also allow the apps metnioned above.

Code:
AppsToAllowInLowMemory=com.palm.app.phone;com.palm.app.contacts;com.palm.app.messaging;org.webosinternals.lunamanager;org.webosinternals.terminal;com.quickcontacts;
To add other apps, just find out their app code (directory that they're installed in), then add them here. As a test I'm going to add the browser as well.

ps - I thought about making a patch for this.. but realistically everyone has different preferences.
