[Patch] Call Block/Ignore

What happened to the patch "Call Block Anyone Not in Contacts" for 1.4.5??? I can't find it in preware, WOSQI or even WebOS-Patches Web Portal... at least not for 1.4.5... it only appears for 2.1.x...

hi....first of all I downloaded this patch about six months ago and just found a use for it....

I tested it first using my third line and it worked perfect shows up in the missed call and I can still get a text from the Do Not Answer which is what I wanted.

my error was not changing the name of my third line before renaming the number I intended to block and In doing this my pre2 linked the two profiles....I did damage control but it didn't agree with my text message field to well


just want to warn anyone to rename your test contact before renaming other contacts or the patch will link it automatically

Just install it . Unknown numbers will be dismissed. Unknown numbers can still leave message.

Just installed the patch on my Pre2. Deleted my home phone # from my contacts. Called my cell, it rang with my home phone coming up as Unknown.

If I put the number in as Do Not Answer, it works. It apparently doesnt work on unknown numbers. Or am I doing something wrong?

Is it possible with this patch to redirect some specified numbers directly to the voice mail?

Just add the number you don't want to answer to the contact 'Do Not Answer'.

In the messaging preferences drop down there is an option to block

Its there, but I think maybe it only works for numbers not in your address book. You can try deleting the person and the next time they text you will see option to block. Or something like that, you can run your own tests

You don't need any patch: It is already built in, just use the messaging preferences.

it did work after removing the number in address book, i am now able to block sms from it..
problem is if the person calls, would i receive the call? since i remove it from "Do not answer" contact...
