ATTENTION MODORATOR, CAN YOU PLEASE MOVE THIS INTO SUB FORUM PATCHES!!!!

MotoQ streamed music no matter what bluetooth headset you tried (i.e. ALL A2DP & non-A2DP bluetooth headset.)

This could be fixed with software bluetooth patch for the Pre.

You reading this, will you help?

    PLEASE VOTE!

This will be a great patch if you can get this going, I have bluetooth in my car and would love for the music from like pandora to play through my speakers that way.

I went to best buy yesterday and they only had one mono A2DP bluetooth headset. It was the Jabra bt530. I really wanted get the Jawbone Prime and did not get because of this very feature.

If they can get this patch for the palm, it would truly update it from "Appliance" to "Platform."

Which online community would I need to contact to request something like this?

    wow no ideas huh?

Anybody who is down for accepting this project, I will donate money.

It would be pretty cool if you got this going. I might reconsider going with a Jawbone

Man, I would love for someone to get this working. I have a Pioneer head unit in my car with the bluetooth module and I can make and receive calls just fine, but bluetooth audio doesn't work because of this flaw. I can load up pandora and it thinks it's sending the audio and I can even control the pandora app using my controls on my head unit! But no audio can be heard

There are several bluetooth related programs in the stock webOS /usr/bin directory

    root@castle:/usr/bin# ls *Bt*
    PmBtAtCmdSniff PmBtEngine PmBtTestApi PmBtTestScript
    PmBtCallStress PmBtHfgCiev PmBtTestContacts PmBtTestStack
    PmBtContacts PmBtStack PmBtTestJson
    PmBtEcNr PmBtStart PmBtTestPair

    PmBtTestApi

This appears to be a general bluetooth diagnostic tool

    root@castle:/usr/bin# ./PmBtTestApi

Palm, if you are looking for things to include in your things to do list, please include this into your next software update
  13.    #13
Wow, does n e body want to help out with this? It would be alot cooler if you did.
  14. #14
I'll contact palm and see they will be releasing the bluetooth api's anytime soon.
  15.    #15
Can I please get some feedback from the developer community and see if this is even possible @ this time?

C'mon, if some guy can hack the pre for dun, this can be done, right?
  16.    #16
    really?

im just going to get the htc hero, it will make this alot easier to do

It's funny. I wrote a Blackberry app to do this recently. When the Palm SDK came out, I looked to see if I could do something similar, and found you can't do it through the official SDK.

There may be a way to use Linux-level hooks to do this, but having to resort to that is a bit silly.

    ydaraishy, that is pretty cool.

Where can I download that blackberry app you wrote?

I might just switch back to my blackberry and I know some guys at work that would love that feature.

BTW, I will donate money to you if you want to develop a patch for the pre/webos.

If you are feeling resourceful, maybe emoney33 might want to get in on this seeing as emoney33 was able to successfully design a patch/script thru preware for the touch screen keyboard.

    thank you
