My themes are available for 2.2.4 here: Index of /webos/feeds/current

Those theme packages that have 2.0.0 version supports webOS 2.2.4 (pre,pre2,pre3). My themes are in ipk form so you need to use preware to install them. They will show up in TM after installing. Naturally if you want to uninstall them you need to uninstall the theme from preware, TM wont allow removing of themes that have been installed through ipk.

Thats the only way to get my themes for 2.2.4 at the moment, we are still working to get the theme feed up. When that happens TM will go into public feed and distributing themes will get simple again.

My themes for webOS 2.2.4 and 3.0.5 can be downloaded here: Index of /public/themes

They are ipk packed so you need to install them with Preware, but after that they will normally show up in the Theme Manager.

EDIT: In the current TM the icon preview wont show correctly for some of the apps due to the move of applications into /media/cryptofs in webOS 3.0.5, this is just a small UI error, i.e. nothing serious, will release a fix once I have time...

Any particular reason for packing your themes as IPKs? Would these thmes then need to be removed via Preware before an OTA update? Wasn't the '.zip' format a lot simpler to work with? Thanks.

No they are not needed to remove before OTA, they are still TM themes. The advantage of ipk is that when there is a repository/feed for themes you can more easily install new versions of the themes since you will get the update notification about newer package. The zip format stays and is there for easy outside of repository/feed distribution/installation. I don't want to implement another package manager / feed parser into TM since we already have a good package manager. So the format of the theme file is irrelevant, as long as its a TM theme.

Thanks. Sounds like a well thought out plan. I suppose it's time for other theme developers to move to packaging their themes in IPK format.

Well the hope is that we get a theme portal (hopefully for example webosnation) that accepts zip files and packages them into ipk and gets feed out there for Preware. So the plan is that user does not need to pack the theme into ipk. The zip file support exists there for easy packaging by normal users so that
users can share themes as zip files, but repositories can pack them into ipk for easy distribution via feeds / preware.

    Done

and I'll update the information from the post, when I put it up on the wiki, as some of the file locations have changed (i.e. Sconix's new IPK distribution)

    Thanks

AFAICT Michote's 3.02 works fine (using the change version alias trick) on 3.05

Sconix, are all the themes in the Index of /webos/feeds/current theme manager compatible??? i.e. the legacy devices, are those (like Michote's) for Legacy running 2.1? or are those for previous method theme (I ask because I'm having trouble listing yours in wiki without need for wiki change every version)
never mind clicked the wrong location link :sigh:

I use my own script to generate the ipk, the older packages will install into that folder but newer will go into usr/palm/applications, all is bit in flux at the moment since getting the AUSMT out and updating the scripts in patch/theme ipks is still bit ongoing process.

could I use the ipk packager for app and point to the folder where you want the themes to go?

I haven't used that app so can't say for sure, as long as you can get the theme dir to go into /usr/palm/applications/<themeid> and use the postinst / prerm theme scripts from ausmt repository (in github) then it should work.
