I doctored and reloaded my device the other day, got everything up and running and then noticed my contacts were not complete. I tried everything to get my contacts to sync, gave up, and did a basic erase and reload.

I added Preware and Govnah through Quickinstall, I opened Govnah, before pulling down UK from Preware, and noticed it had all the possible profiles showing and, at the top, it said Govnah v.8.3 Uberkernel UK 178. I set it for Fixed 1000 and it accepted it and seems to be running fast and well.

I wondered if this could be because a number of my patches carried over after the erase, but the record of their install in Preware was gone and those same patches appeared to be available, so I reinstalled them all. With this in mind, I went to install UK and received the following ipkg error:

What does it mean? Is UK now inherent in Govnah unless another kernel is installed?

    Inquiring minds want to know...

    Thanks!

As far as I know (pre plus and pre2 w/2.0.1) UK has to be installed separately. Sounds like you didnt restarg your phone after one of the items installed.

I agree with Cantaffordit, I would recommend installing the Palm kernel first, and then installing the UK. Remember to reboot after installing a kernel.
