Default GCC in Terminal app?

Hey guys, how do you gcc in the terminal app? I have it set up and everything but when i try to compile my program, it says that it can't find gcc.

Any help?

You'll probably need to find a arm ipk and supporting libs, or build it from source. I'm sure Optware has a package for it if you look it up.

Sorry for bumping old thread, but i have same problem.
Average user, not a developer, have Pre device with webOS 2.1, want to compile few linux console utilities from sources.
Since i'm not a developer and do not want to develop anything right now - do not want to install and setup SDK, PDK and other stuff for crosscompiling. Simply want to build on device.
What i need to get from nslu2-linux feeds (or may be from other sources) to be able to compile directly on Pre?
