how does one arrive at this error? I mean at doctor point, its basically a new device right (memory wise)? does this mean I may have done something wrong when I doctored to 2.1.0? (Sprint Pre )

Did you uninstall current kernel (if not palm default) first?

I'm not sure really...to be honest. It actually started when I tried to download another item from preware

This kernel BRICKED my pre minus running 2.1.0. However, it was in the experimental feed so i guess i kinda deserved it. Sigh, time to bring out the doctor...

Please don't take this wrong way...but anyone tagged as a HB Developer should not need to ask such questions. Especially when us mere mortals can even figure out our options...

Just a heads up sr71 installed but it takes awhile. I thought I was frozen and needed to memboot but I didnt. Again just takes awhile to boot. Does battery life take a big hit using 1200 ondemadtcl?

    Voltages can always be tweaked.

It might take a while to boot if it was overheating.

Hey unixpsycho, what ever you are doing to the kernel, you just solved a BIG problem I had with Palm's original kernel and UberKernel on my Pre2!
The problem is that with those kernels the system doesn't go into suspend properly because of what seems to be a problem with the DSP and eats about 140mA. But with SR71 v2.1.0-25 that problem seems to be gone (drain is now down to 10mA)

Are you aware of any changes you did that could cause this?

Rubbish. A BRICKED device is one which is not recoverable by software means. All kernels released by WebOS Internals can be recovered simply by the use of the webOS Doctor.

Your post is not only inaccurate, it is ungracious as well.
