I have UK 1.4.5-138 from the testing feed. KeyBoss 0.2.9 tells me that there was an error setting the fat finger filter, probably due to an unsupported kernel. Funny thing is, when I go look at the changelog for the newly installed UK 138, the changelog stops at ver 119 and the date last updated is 10/18/10 at 11.25pm.

    Any thoughts?

I am running the latest version of the AV8B Harrier II and Userspace Input Module and I am also receiving that error for the Fat Fingers filter.

I too now se the fat finger error, but only when trying to change it from the default of 'on'. When I turn it off it immediatelty turns back on after the error report.

    UberK .138 and KB 0.29

Thanks for continuing to work on keyboss EG. Glad to see sticky settings. They are only semi sticky for me tho. I like to set caps to the hold and function to the double tap. I adjust the sliders abit and then close it. After a reset, keyboss is active but the doubletap for function moves to the hold position along with the hold for caps. Any ideas?

Do you see the behavior change when you turn the enable toggle on/off in KeyBoss?

KeyBoss v0.3.0 fixes the sticky settings glitching and adds (almost) full Pixi support.
Pixi UberKernel v1.4.5-149 adds Fat Finger Filter support.
Pre Uinput v1.4.5-138 installation script modified to verify stock kernel.

Updates should appear in feeds within the hour.

NOTE that Pixi hold action support is wonky and for me currently the action will go through even on tap. If you get the same behavior, don't use hold actions on Pixi until I resolve that issue. All other functionality should work on Pixi.

The failure to sleep behavior does not change regardless of the enable setting in KeyBoss.
Will take a look at the /var/log/messages file a bit later and post anything that I see that might help...

Hey Eric -- with the 3.0 update, it appears that the settings for Hold & tap are sticking (what they do) but the slider setting is not sticking. My sliders default back to way over to the right, when I actually have set them to be about 15%-20% from the left side. Not a big deal, but I wanted to let you know. I absolutely LOVE that you've taken on this project -- KeyCAPS was one of my favorite tweaks in Palm OS.

Also, can you clarify the On vs OFF setting for the fat finger correction... I think I get what it does, but I'm not exactly sure which I should want to use and I can't tell a difference in my typing.

Hi , like qwertpo said, Keyboss 0.3 indeed drains my pre's battery life drastically. regardless of which kernel and with keyboss ON/OFF.

I commented on this 2x here. Once in July '10, then I uninstalled because the battery drain was unacceptable. Then, in Dec '10, I forgot about the battery drain issue and reinstalled. Battery drain present again, uninstalled again. No point in having an extended (2600mAH) battery if it's only going to last 5 hrs.

Anyway, both times I mentioned this, no one seemed to care. I'm just glad to see that I'm not the only user complaining.

I also have the battery drain issue, so I uninstalled. I tested w/ Keyboss OFF, but still got battery drain.

+1 for battery drain. If i got 5 hours of battery with minimal use, im lucky. Once I removed keyboss, everything was fine.

I am using Keyboss as well and do not notice batt drain related to it. I did have issues with Govnah 0.7.9.

Several items were updated around the same time so it was difficult determining the issue for me. I downgraded to Gov 0.7.7 and my issue went away.

    Sprint Pre
    UberKernal 1.4.5.138
    Govnah 0.7.7
    Keyboss 0.3.0
Battery life is the same as always after I downgraded Govnah.

I doubt that Govnah version is the problem here, since Govnah does nothing in the background when the app is closed.

To verify, you should reinstall the latest Govnah (without changing anything else) and see if the problem reoccurs. Then change back to the older Govnah version and see if the problem goes away. If you can do this twice without changing anything else, then you've done enough work to report it as a Govnah problem, not before.
