Thanks for the update Mathias.

While you are reading, I'd note a few other features I'd consider attractive

1. undo
2. indicate if in check or in checkmate
3 show move logs
4. highlight possible moves when a piece is pressed first time

Where is the source code hosted? I don't find it in WebOS-Internals.org. (only see prechess there, which seems to be different app).

Thanks

You can already undo and redo moves by backswipe / forward swipe in gesture area.

I use this app every day. The only thing I would add, as I noted a few posts ago, is the move list. Otherwise its perfect the way it is.

Look forward to the TP version!

The version 0.3.0 is submitted.

Touchpad:
The board is now optimized for the high resolution.
The backward/forward gesture is transferred to two extra buttons.

Pre3/Pre/Pixi/Veer:
Version checked with Pre3 and Pre-, please give feedback
for other hardware.

Fixed Bug:
The 0.2.3 version makes an error if castling in both directions is
possible.

Thanks. I can't wait to try it out. I suppose you submitted it to the official app catalog?

Unfortunately, Advanced Chess 0.1.2 won't run on my System:

Palm Pixi (WebOS 1.4.5)
Error: "Engine not ready, please restart !"

The stockfish and polyglot files exist but the output of "ps aux" does not show those tasks.

Are there any possibilities to locate the error? Can I run stockfish/polyglot manually in a terminal?

Regards

@Pix Palmi
Please check the filesize of stockfish/polyglot.

You can start polyglot manually, and polyglot is starting stockfish.
The output on the terminal and in /var/log/messages can help.
If you send me a private message with your e-mail i can send you
the 0.1.3 ipk.

Best regards,
Mathias
