    Similar to Xandau73's question to namgod;
when you open Govnah, in the top left corner, what does it say?
(ex: mine says Govnah v1.0.5 Uberkernel -52)

Post it here and we can start figuring it out.

If you have a 64GB touchpad running at 1.5G out of the box, then you should realise that we have not tested *anything* on that device and have no idea what will happen if you install UberKernel or Govnah.

So we'll be looking to you to tell us what works, not vice versa

Mine says exactly the same as yours!

In particular we want to get information about the stock settings on the device. Can you run Govnah without installing a kernel and post the email settings output?

Sorry for the n00b question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

Whenever I try to change any of the preferences I get a message saying:

    Unable to open /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/scaling_governor

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Govnah, but it didn't help.

BTW this is a GREAT site for a TP n00b like me.

I get this same message when I try to use F15C and OC to anything over 1.512. The UberKernal works just fine on my TP so I just use it at 1.512.

Thanks for all the great kernals!!

Thanks! I'm not even trying to further OC it. I just want to change some of the other preferences (e.g., ondemand etc.).

BTW what scares me about UberKernel is it says "It's only there for people who are willing to have their warranty voided." http://forums.precentral.net/2394533-post1.html

And my TP is less than a week old.

Please post what *exact* kernel version you're using. Govnah has it's own version and the kernel name and version in one of the corners of the main scene.

Thanks. I don't have my TP with me right now to check, but I know it is the most recent version of F15C Eagle from Preware since I just installed it on Wednesday.

That is just a standard disclaimer for those who may not have the stomach to digest anything that may go wrong. I don't think there has been a single case of hardware failure due to an Uberkernel so far.

Thanks. I wasn't necessarily concerned that UberKernel would cause the issue, but if my TP has a different warranty issue, would I still be able to get it fixed.

FYI I am fully aware that all these things are at your own risk and YMMV etc., but I thought the Doctor can put my TP into factory fresh mode at any time and I would still be able to send it into HP under warranty if there was ever an issue. I hope that makes sense.

So are you saying UberKernel is easily reversible and won't really void my HP warranty?

Thanks (I think). There's quite a bit going on there, so are you saying this error message is normal and I can never change Governor or Sample Rate??

In short, YES. Uberkernel is very easily reversible.

You are using a bleeding-edge alpha testing kernel which Govnah does not yet support.

Thank you! I uninstalled Eagle and installed Uberkernel. Now I just need to find the right settings.

    Hi folks

Rod - I started playing with this scenario last night... Oops... I already loaded Uberkernel without recording Govnah settings.

Anythng short of a full-on Doctor'ing to get back to stock?

Uninstall Uberkernel and that should do it.

Disable profile in Govnah, uninstall UberKernel, reboot.

Does any one have trouble with the "system voltage menu"? Can't get it to work.
And remember kids, the key word here is "System" not "CPU".
