I for one am very excited just to have xterm. It works significantly better than terminal or terminus, and actually looks better too.

gmoj1: you have to edit the startup.sh script in org.webos-internals.xorgserver. You'll see a line commented out that changes to landscape
ws6kid: the flash plugins are all currently for x86 platforms, so no |

Will we be able to use this on our Pre and a Windows Machine? I read the entire thread and see where it has the linux instructions. Just curios!!

I was looking at apt-get, is that the right direction? |

I see some possible mis-direction in this thread. The original post shows the Pre running OpenOffice on the Pre itself. Very exciting, btw. But we are also discussing ssh'ing into other boxes and running apps remotely. A different process altogether. Perhaps split the threads, or try to be obvious as to which task is being attempted?

Yes. I have debian setup and installed. I followed this tutorial: Debian - WebOS Internals
However, I did receive an error when trying to complete the last step of sharing the display: mount -o bind /tmp /media/cf/tmp. Mounting failed due to "no such file or directory." |
