    I have everything working and have tested it on my pre-. The working code for tealpoint tealauto is:

    Code:
    #!/bin/sh

    APPID=`basename $0`
    APPNAME="tealauto"

    source `dirname $0`/srf.app.info

    I have also attached the script file.

    That script looks like it saves the *whole* application, rather than just the user's data files associated with that application.

    I don't know what is really needed, so I saved all the files. If you want I could try testing it by just saving just the Data directory files? I am getting prepared to move to a Sprint Pre2 and I don't want to accidentally miss any files that I need.

    could you please add the " MyHome Keyboard" app?
    this app can edit layouts and some times all edited layout suddenly revert to default! It's a bug I think, and then I needto edit the layouts from scratch and it takes time.
    if this app can Save/Restore it wil save time and effort ..

    Has anyone else tried using the "Card Ace: Casino" restore lately? I just backed up from my Pre2 and attempted restoring to my Veer and my Touchpad, and it failed to bring back my profile on each.

    Can someone please help me with restoring my 'WiFi profiles'. In the past, I have never had any issues with being able to restore my 'WiFi profiles'. But now foir some reason I am unable to do so anymore. I have tried to restore the 'wifi profiles' on three different TouchPads with no success. Also, even onm yPre3 I can no longer restore the 'wifi profiles'. IN fact, just a few weeks ago, i had upgraded from my Pre+ to a Euro Pre3 and the wifi profiles had restored with no issues. But no when I have switched from an Euro Pre3 to an AT&T Pre3, the wifi profiles no longer are restoring. Could it be an issue with the recent versions of 'Save/Restore'? Can someone please confirm if they are able to restore their wifi profiles. Also, is there any other, maybe manual method of restoring the wifi profiles by copying/pasting the saved backup file?

    Hi, I've got NFS Hot Pursuit on TP and it is not listed in Save/Restore saved data. Is there something wrong ? If you could give me (if you know) the path for the saved games for NFS on the TP's tree, I can still save and restore them myself

    Rod -- I went to the files to update the webOS version requirements and I noticed that the Notes, tasks and messaging scripts already say: "MAX_WEBOS_VERSION="1.4.5"

    Any idea why these scripts aren't recognizing that?

    Dumb Question Time:

    I have learned that SynchToy is not particularly useful as a backup program, and that Save/Restore is the bee's knees. So I have installed Preware and Save/Restore, following instructions with care. I have saved only those things I thought worth saving (none of the dumb card games).

    I thought this program was meant to save things to my PC, where I could back up the data and where I could recover it from if necessary. Instead, it appears that it saves them on the Pre2.

    Now the Dumb Question: If I am saving on the Pre2 and it is the device that has gotten screwed up for any reason, I do what, a re-start and then recover the data? It cannot/is not saved/saveable on a separate device, like a PC?

    See? I told ya it was a dumb question.

    Copy the saverestore directory from the USB drive to the PC regularly, or use one of the solutions which causes it to go up to a dropbox or box.net or use rsync to move it over to a Linux box on a cron job schedule.

    Searched Thread (and I've subscribed the thread for longer than the TouchPad has been out) for and was suprised to find that these have not been requested
    TouchPad
    Spaz HD (Bounty $10 Paypal)
    I hate having to rebuild Spaz every time I doctor. Even if I'm forced to re-oauth my accounts I really need it to recall my accounts and column order.

    Gun Brothers (Bounty $7 Paypal)
    It was amazingly annoying to find that I'd paid money for bucks and upon doctoring I lost everything I'd bought. So Now I refuse to pay into the app until I know I can restore my already played levels. Within the /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/com.glu.app.gunbros directory there are a couple of obvious files (pref.dat and savedgames.dat) but there may be more as some other files do look like they get modified

    Incredible (honestly didn't check the thread to see if this is being worked on, again suprised it's not there yet I think I've done most of the leg work on this so only $3 bounty)
    I've learned that replacing /var/palm/data/file_.media.cryptofs.apps.usr.palm.applications.com.zhephree.incrediblehd_0 db recalls the accounts I've added, and I do not need to reauthorize them
    I've learned that Incredible remembers my background selection (as long as I don't try to change it in preferences, I retain the choosen backdrop from my twitter account even though the account is not linked) and at least some of my preferences (follow zephree messages are still hidden after a doctoring)
    I'm not sure if there's anything else needed for Incredible.

    Again, these are all very common applications and I have no idea why nobody's added scripts for them yet, but maybe a bounty will light the fire needed.

    Someone mind clueing me in to where the settings data is stored for the app Incredible! ? Really wish to back up all my settings to transfer to the Pre3.

    Update: Hadn't seen MiDoJo's post above mine. Thanks much! I transferred that db file for Incredible and now have my Facebook account available on Pre3.

    On my TouchPad, the following backups fail:
    • Memos - Error: unable to open database "/var/luna/data/dbdata/PalmDatabase.db3": unable to open database file
    • Messaging - Error: unable to open database "/var/luna/data/dbdata/PalmDatabase.db3": unable to open database file
    • Tasks - Error: unable to open database "/var/luna/data/dbdata/PalmDatabase.db3": unable to open database file
    • Web - Archive not saved

    I think this very likely happens due to different storage locations for the data of the failing applications on webOS 3.0.x (e.g. /var/luna/data/dbdata/PalmDatabase.db3 doesn't exist anymore).

    Please find attached the script for Touch Surf, this application has only database to be saved / restored.

    Please verify and add it to the save/restore application.

    Hi,
    I have a question using the scheduled function of Save & Restore. I have it set up doing a backup every day at noon. Lastly, I see the S&R icon sitting in the notification area and the blue bar showing the progress of the process without advance even after an hour?
    Any idea what I am doing wrong? Starting the backup manually plainly works. Changing the scheduled time doesn't effect outcome.

    (Pre3-EU)

    Thanks for the help!
    Cheers,

    Anyone know the database location for the Amazon Kindle Beta data? I can't seem to find where it stores your account settings. It seems it stores all downloaded books in /media/internal/.palmKindle but that does not restore settings. Thanks.
