I fixed this by using the Emergency Reconstruction Utility. Search the List of Everything in Preware for it. You might also need to run the Emergency Migration Helper.

I have downloaded WebOS Quickinstall 3.2 and Preware through WOQI. It's installed on my pre but when I start the app it says : Failure during 'getconfigs' operation.

I want to install Preware to get off a theme that doesnt want to get away when I erase memory on my pre.. I can't uninstall the theme with WOQI because it says that the theme is default theme.. but it's actually set to a Windows 7 theme.

Please help me!

Can you give us the full error?
Also, a simple fix would be to install the default theme via WOQI.

The full error is actually : "Failure during 'getconfigs' operation." As I wrote it. This is the error that Preware shows on my pre.

WOQI just wont let me install any theme. When I click on "Load theme", it says : "Sorry, theming is currently disabled until the new theming specification is put in plapce."

Any idea?

And remember, if you do in fact utilize preware and all the other awesome things webos-internals has done, please consider donating to them. They are definitely worth it....

what could be the reason for an app on the official palm beta feed not showing up in preware? Shows flawlessly in Appscoop...

Has it to do with country-restrictions? Any commets?

Have you enabled it using Menu -> Manage Feeds?

Sure...beta feed is enabled in Preware, e.g. facebook beta client is there but some other beta-feed apps not. Just compare Appscoop and Preware beta-apps for yourself.

hi!

After following threads about missing calls, etc. being related to Preware, I did try this myself, and indeed:

I call myself from landline, it works
I launch preware, install JsTop
I call myself from landline, phone doesn't ring
I start the phone app manually
I call myself from landline, it works

seems some install scripts or something similar crash the phone daemon (is it a daemon at all?). If I start the phone app the splash card stays there forever in step 4. I have to close the card and open the phone app again to really show up. Same with messaging. SMS start to arrive as soon as I open the Messaging app.

this behavior is reproduce-able.

I can't reproduce the problem here. Are you hitting "Update Feeds" to get the latest information downloaded?

yep, I hit update feeds.

Preware shows me 46 apps on the beta-catalog atm.
Precentral beta-app gallery counts 99.

Do you have other numbers in your preware?

Preware has been invaded by PalmAgent, my feed is completely inundated.

I am sure it will be low on the request list, but I would LOVE the ability to block this crap in here like I do with dsevil's Hide App Vendors patch.

Got preware to install but it will not get all packages only got 68 packages and I know theres about 4,000. Ive completely reset phone with a complete swipe and tried again and still the same thing, Does anyone know why? Thanks
