I installed terminal and doom. i launch doom and the screen that says "WebOS Internals presents DOOM!" shows up but i cant do anything from that screen. Theni try to open terminal from going back into preware and it says i can only launch it through a program. so im getting the run around. anyy suggestions?

Do you have preware configured to not show applications after you have installed them?

    Taiko,
Are all of your feeds active in Preware? You can install with Quick Installer also if preware is not working out.

Yes, use the gesture back, the menu comes up and press "S" for save, then tap the skull and you'll see the save menu/list...

In case anyone is interested I wrote a script to run all the commands for me. I'll share it below:

    #!/bin/sh
    cd /media/cryptofs/apps
    cd usr/palm.applications
    cd org.webosinternals.sdldoom
    ./doom

I did it in VI and named it ./doom.sh
Also don't forget to chmod 755 the file once you write it.

Someone might have covered this but a simple way to lunch this w/o the 4 instructions would be create a file example below in term.

vi doom "yes i know its original"

#!/opt/bin/bash "or the path to your bash or shell executable"
    cd /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/org.webosinternals.sdldoom; ./doom

:wq "if you arent using vi then dont do this just exit and save file.

    also chmod u+x doom
I put it right in /home/root and no i just type ./doom and it loads... have to say i am real stoked for what the future will hold for the pre.

I've only been able to save 1 game though. You can't choose a different save slot...

    This is what I did.

    Open terminal.
    type vi ./doom.sh
press a (a is the VI command to append after the cursor)
type out script I wrote in my previous post
hold orange and press spacebar (this is the equivalent of the escape key to get you out of typing mode)
type :wq and hit enter to save the file

then chmod 755 ./doom.sh and voila, when you type ./doom.sh it should run the commands for you.

I don't know what anyone is talking about with these files and commands! I downloaded Doom and Terminal, typed in the commands as written and the thing doesn't run. FRUSTRATED!!!
